Their goals
“We are always adding new products to our collections in order to meet every need, for this is the only way to avoid their finding what they need from our competitors’”, say Luigi Radice, Production Manager, and Dario Deponti, Commercial Manager of the company. They also add, "We invest our resources and energies in the search for new products, in the awareness of the challenges we face, for sewing threads are not always differentiated. However, over the past few years progress has been made regarding the study of biologic, flame-retardant, water-repellant and metallized threads.
Regarding business with haberdashery stores, “the inclusion of new products is made easier when you deal with manufacturers who seek business opportunities. Our company grows and evolves, creating a strong position for itself, based on the strength of our brands” .
A view about the current market situation
Our interviewees state, “Markets evolve unpredictably. We have studied results for the past year, and will do so once again in March. In September we start producing products sampled during the first half of the year, and then we will be able to know how markets will respond”.
Novelties
What are the novelties Cucirini Tre Stelle will launch next season? Our interviewees choose not to announce them, but comment instead, “We’d rather not make any announcements about the novelties to be launched because our efforts, work and developments might be copied by competitors”.
The future of this sector
“In Italy and also in the rest of Europe, we do not believe we will see new manufacturers. The goal today is to maintain our sales volumes and client portfolio.
We are investing very much in our business, in our growth in Northern Africa. We have a factory in Tunisia, which we opened in 1998, and this is a very important market for us. So last year we decided to open a branch in Casablanca. After studying Moroccan markets and seeing how immense they are, we invested there and today, we are reaping our first fruits as we also study markets in Russia, Albania and Argelia”.
